What institutions are saying
“CircleUp replaced four group chats and a parent email thread. The day got quieter — in a good way.”
FAQ
The short answers.
- Who is CircleUp for?
- Schools and colleges — kindergarten through university — that want one calm space for parents, teachers, students, campus teams and admins instead of four group chats and an inbox.
- Do parents and students need separate apps?
- No. One app, four role-aware experiences. Every surface is gated by role — a parent never sees the teacher attendance roll, a teacher never sees the parent fees wallet, and a student never sees the admin moderation queue. Each role only sees what's relevant to them.
- How does the Doubts Q&A points system work?
- Students earn points for asking thoughtful questions (+5). Teachers and peers earn points for answering (+10), getting upvoted (+1) and having their answer marked accepted (+20). Everything is tagged by subject and class so the right answerer finds the right question.
- How safe is cross-institution student discovery?
- Only verified students appear in Discover, and only the public-profile fields show — hobbies, strengths, study style and availability. Phone numbers, course schedules and locations are hidden by default. Swiping right sends a connection request, not a message.
- What happens to a chat message when it's deleted?
- Nothing disappears. Like a notebook page, the message stays where it was — just struck through. The receiver can still see the outline of what was said, which keeps the conversation honest. You can also reply to any message in-thread, like a quoted note.
